Congressman Pete King recently met with representatives from the YES Community Counseling Center & Massapequa Takes Action Coalition to discuss the opioid epidemic on Long Island. Congressman King has voted for bills dealing with opioids and has co-sponsored legislation to establish a task force to coordinate the interdiction of fentanyl and other opioids into the United States. -

Mitchel Field in Garden City, one of the most significant aviation hubs during the first half of the 20th century and the main point of air defense for the East Coast during World War II, has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. Rep. Peter King (R-Seaford) said, "Long Island was a major center in winning World War II ... And Mitchel Field is really where it all began."

We are a nation of immigrants, but today our immigration system is broken. For too long the federal government has not done enough to secure our borders or enforce immigration laws already on the books. -
