Energy

As a mother of three and outdoor enthusiast, I am very interested in the quality of our air and our environment. That is why I supported H.R. 2028 - Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017. THis bill invests in renewable energy technology, building on existing resources to strengthen America's energy independence and supporting advances in energy efficiency and emissions reductions.

I also cosponsored the folllowing bills to foster innovation and remove barriers to new energy development:

  • H.R. 2663 - Public Land Renewable Energy Development Act of 2015: Would promote production of renewable energy on public lands, and would ensure local communities and conservation efforts see benefits from development
  • H.R. 2657 - POWER Act: Would provide parity for additional renewable energy sources, allowing their development to accelerate and use to expand.
  • H.R. 2883 - Master Limited Partnership Parity Act: Would extend the privileges of Master Limited Partnership status, primarily granted to fossil fuels, to renewable and alternative energies.
