Senator Paul is continuing to help Kentuckians who are need of assistance. We are working to get help to all those in need. Below you can find links to key information on the latest recovery assistance available.
If you are a Kentuckian affected, and need assistance with the disaster claim process we can help. We can also assist with lost or damaged documents such as Social Security cards, VA records, military medals and records, and tax documents. You can start by filling out a Privacy Release form HERE or by calling our Bowling Green office at (270) 782-8303.

Individual Assistance
Survivors who have not yet registered for Individual Assistance should do so before the September 28, 2022 deadline.
Public Assistance
County deadlines to submit a Request for Public Assistance are as follows:
- September 11, 2022 – Cumberland and Whitley
- September 18, 2022 – Lee, Lincoln, and Powell
- October 2, 2022– Casey and Harlan
- October 4, 2022 – Clay, Martin, and Perry
- October 5, 2022 – Floyd, Knott, Owsley, and Pike
- October 11, 2022 – Breathitt, Johnson, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, and Wolfe
U.S. Small Business Administration: Long-term, low-interest disaster loans for homeowners, renters, businesses and nonprofit organizations from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to cover losses not fully compensated by insurance and other sources.
Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via the SBA’s secure website at disasterloanassistance.sba.gov/ela/s/. Disaster loan information and application forms can also be obtained by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (if you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services) or sending an email to DisasterCustomerService@sba.gov.
After you apply for disaster assistance from FEMA, you may be referred to the SBA. It is important to submit an application as soon as possible. If your application is approved, you are not obligated to accept an SBA loan. Failure to return the SBA application will disqualify you from other possible FEMA assistance, such as disaster-related car repairs, clothing, household items and other expenses.
The filing deadline to submit applications for physical property damage is Sept. 27, 2022. The deadline to submit economic injury applications is May 1, 2023.
