Prison to Proprietorship for Formerly Incarcerated Act

Last Congress, the U.S. House of Representatives passed my bill, the Prison to Proprietorship for Formerly Incarcerated Act. I’m hopeful it will be passed by both chambers this year and signed into law to help formerly incarcerated folks get back on their feet.

The Prison to Proprietorship for Formerly Incarcerated Act provides non-violent prisoners small business counseling and training services to help prepare them to be entrepreneurs or start their own small business after prison.

I gave a floor speech in support of this bill. I encourage you to check it out here
