U. S. Postal Service

in conjunction with AVTA used Electric Vehicles in several locations as a pilot program.

EVAmerica

is baseline performance testing completed in a controlled environment. Before vehicles where testing they had to meet EVAmerica specifications.

Pomoma Loop Testing

Southern California Edison in conjunction with AVTA performed open road testing on electric vehicles. These include the Chevy S-10, Chrysler EPIC, General Motors EV1, Honda EVPlus, Nissan Altra and the Toyota RAV4.

Fleet evaluations and accelerated reliability

testing was completed for several vehicles including the Ford Ranger, Chevy S-10 and the Toyota RAV4.

and general information about batteries, battery chargers, auxiliary system, motor and controllers, gasoline vs. EVs and fuel costs vs. gasoline is available.

General Information

relating to the AVT activity is available. This information includes Incremental funding activities, qualified vehicle testers, the national loaner program, and a general description of EV activities.
