U. S. Postal Electric Vehicles


United States Postal Service Vehicle

In 1999, The U. S Postal Service contracted with Ford Motor Company for the purchase of 500 Electric Carrier Route Vehicles (ECRVs). The ECRVs were phased into service at 22 Post Office locations --- with 200 in California and two on the East Coast --- between February 2001 and October of 2002. The findings from this demonstration are provided in the reports listed below.
