Our Cover: Spring 1999
"Dawn Departure," a painting by Robert Barbour. As the artist explains the
action, "dawn breaks over the Garelock [on the southwest coast of Scotland] as the
HMS Repulse heads out on another Atlantic patrol. She is escorted as far as the
deeper waters of the Firth of Clyde by assorted craft from the Faslane base, including a
police launch and an inflatable."
Copr. 1997 by Robert Barbour. Cranston Fine Arts Military Print Collection, serial
number DHM745.
