WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Benjamin L. Cardin announced today that the Maryland State Highway Administration has been awarded a competitive grant of $148,000 from the U.S. Department of Transportation to highlight Maryland’s scenic byways. The grant will to enable the highway administration to update information about Maryland’s scenic roads and byways.

"Maryland is full of historic roadways that are important stopping off spots for tourists and residents alike. This grant will enable Maryland to provide the public with up-to-date, reliable information about our most scenic roads and byways," said the Congressman.
