Sample Introduction

Pat Tiberi (pronounced TEE-berry) is a member of the House Budget Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee that has jurisdiction over tax issues, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and trade agreements.  His work on both committees is focused on ensuring taxpayers’ dollars are spent responsibly.

As a former Chairman of the Select Education Subcommittee, Congressman Tiberi wrote and passed the Older Americans Act, a law that reauthorized and improved numerous programs that help Older Americans.  The AARP, Meals on Wheels, and the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio have recognized Congressman Tiberi for the lead he took in the bipartisan effort to pass this law.

He has proposed legislation to help homeowners stay in their homes through responsible borrowing and housing counseling, to improve access to federal jobs for our veterans, and to allow Ohio to better compete in attracting new jobs.

Son of Italian immigrants, Congressman Tiberi has been a lifelong resident of the 12th Congressional District.  He is a 1985 graduate of The Ohio State University and was a member of The Ohio State University Marching Band.  Congressman Tiberi began his career in public service as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives.  Prior to being elected to Congress, he worked as a realtor.  Congressman Tiberi and his wife, Denice, are the proud parents of a daughter, Angelina.
