Occasionally you might notice that an object (e.g. city, street, park, etc.) appears on Google Maps with the wrong label or location.
Google Maps gets its map data from TeleAtlas. While we constantly work with them to refresh our maps, it's possible there are some labels we missed. There are a couple of things you can do. First, you can easily alert our provider using the link below:
Second, if you've found that an object is mis-located, you can report it in Google Maps. Just search for the location, click on the marker, and select "Edit" in the information window that pops up. Check out more information on community edits.
Now it's a race to see if we fix it before our third-party providers. Thanks in advance for helping to make Google Maps a little better today!!
Second, you can put your own road or neighborhood on the map using My Maps quite easily.
While it may seem like many steps, it's simple after the first try. Once you're done, all public maps will be searchable in Google Maps almost immediately.
That's all it takes to put yourself on the map, so to speak, until TeleAtlas updates your road. Thanks in advance for helping to make Google Maps a little better today!
If you see satellite imagery that's much older than 3 years, a cloud is obscuring your view, or the mapping images don't seem line up, fill out this specialized form.
We're constantly working to refresh this data, and appreciate your taking the the time to notify us.
