Description: The Nineteenth Annual National Conference on Social Work and HIV/AIDS, sponsored by the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work, invites you to submit a presentation proposal for its 2007 meeting, set for May 24-27, in Albuquerque, NM , at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Proposals should focus on this year's conference theme, "There's Change in the Air? Future Challenges for AIDS Social Work Practice," which concerns the future of HIV/AIDS social work. New medical and psychosocial research findings, complex race/class issues, an increasing emphasis on evidence-based research findings, as well as evolving social policy, political and economic developments, both in the and abroad, are issues that the Sponsor plans to address at the 2007 conference. Topics will include issues such as emerging new directions for the Ryan White CARE Act, the 2008 presidential race, and the use of evidence-based psychosocial interventions (e.g. DEBIs) in direct practice.
