U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee, Mayor Jesse Tanner of Renton, Mayor Chuck Mosher of Bellevue, and others gathered at the site of the latest BP/Olympic pipeline rupture to call on Congress and the White House to get active on pipeline legislation. Though Congress has been in session for at least five months, no activity on pipeline safety legislation has been scheduled: there have been no hearings, committee meetings, or votes.
