E-Update on Trade and Agriculture

Earlier today the House of Representatives approved the U.S.-Peru Trade Promotion Agreement by an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote of 285 to 132.  Free trade is so important for our home state of California, and especially our agriculture rich Northern California congressional district.  This new agreement with Peru will benefit our economy and businesses, and mean new jobs for American workers.  Accordingly, I thought you might appreciate the following information about today's debate over this important market-opening trade agreement.  Click here to read a media release and view my floor speech on the Peru agreement.
