SENATOR GOODWIN ANNOUNCES SERVICE ACADEMY NOMINATIONS FOR STUDENTS IN THE EASTERN PANHANDLE

Charleston, WV—Senator Carte P. Goodwin has announced his nominations to the United States service academies for the freshman class entering July 2011. 32 students from 15 counties in West Virginia were selected to compete for appointments in the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. “I am proud to nominate such an exceptional group of students from West Virginia to the United States service academies,” said Senator Goodwin. “This is truly an honor and a privilege, and I know that these students represent some of the best and brightest of both West Virginia and our country.
