The House Page Program offers a firsthand opportunity for eligible high
school students to participate in the legislative process. Pages assist
Members and Congress as a whole by setting up the House floor for
sessions, delivering correspondence between Congressional offices, and
answering phones in the Member cloakrooms. While serving Congress, Pages
are fully immersed in the political landscape, living at the Page
Residence Hall and attending classes at the House Page School, both just
a short walk from the U.S. Capitol.
Due to the limited number of page positions, not every member of Congress
is able to sponsor a page each session. Sponsorship is offered on a
rotating basis, therefore if my office is ineligible to sponsor at the
time of interest it is appropriate to seek sponsorship from another
member of the Maryland delegation.
