On Thursday, July 1, 2010, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and the Subcommittee on Government Management, Organization, and Procurement held a joint hearing entitled, “Cloud Computing: Benefits and Risks of Moving Federal IT into the Cloud,” to examine the benefits and challenges of the Federal government’s transition to cloud computing. The joint hearing focused on the Obama Administration’s strategy for cloud computing technology and services, plans for implementation, coordination of activities among federal entities and other issues related to the government-wide transition to cloud computing. The hearing took place at 10:00 a.m. in room 2154 Rayburn House Office Building.
