On Wednesday, June 9, 2010, the Information Policy, Census and National Archives Subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled, "Strengthening the National Historical Publications and Records Commission." The hearing will review the success of the Commission's grant programs over the last 45 years; examine the major changes to archives, records and historical research since the current authorized funding level was set in 1988; and discuss expanding the funding and scope of its grants programs in order to bring the Commission in line with current and future needs.
The hearing will take place at 2:00 p.m. in room 2154 Rayburn House Office Building.
