Resolution means that Local Post Office at General Store is Here to Stay

From Congressman Murphy: “This was an important effort for the town of Lumberville and I am proud we were able to bring the parties to the table and get this resolution. The Shanleys are to be commended not just for their persistence but also for the way they put their community ahead of themselves.”

“Thanks to the hard work of parties on all sides, the post office will be staying at the Lumberville General Store. This is a great day for the families in Lumberville – for them to keep their identity – and I was glad to lend a hand.”

“The general store means a lot to the families in Lumberville and I was glad to bring the parties together to keep the post office. I pledge to keep fighting for the families in the 8th district and to protect the symbols of our community just like the Shanleys’ general store.”
