WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Jerry Moran announced today that Jesse Rundle of Manhattan is serving as a congressional intern in his Washington, D.C. office this fall. Rundle is a 2005 graduate of Manhattan High School and a 2010 graduate of St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. He is the son of Lynn and Jean Rundle of Manhattan.

“Congressional internships offer Kansas students a great opportunity to learn about Congress and the legislative process,” Moran said. “Jesse is doing important work for Kansans and gaining valuable experience that will help him in the future.”

Rundle is a recent graduate of St. John’s College where he received a Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. After graduation, he was a fellow with Coro Kansas City, where he gained firsthand experience in public affairs and studied the structure and operations of Kansas City. In the fall of 2011, he will pursue a Master’s of Public Policy at Georgetown University.

“Working for Congressman Moran has given me a chance to see the policy process from start to finish, including the hurdles and details skipped over on the news,” said Rundle. “I’ve learned about the wide range of issues affecting Kansans and seen how Congressman Moran addresses those concerns. I will take away a greater passion for public service and a valuable perspective on the role of government.”

Rundle assists Moran with legislative and administrative duties on behalf of the people of Kansas.
