For immediate release: Friday, February 26, 2010 Committee to Hold Hearing on Prostate Cancer Screening and TreatmentWASHINGTON – Chairman Edolphus “Ed” Towns (D-NY) today announced that the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform will hold a hearing titled, “Prostate Cancer: New Questions About Screening and Treatment” to examine several issues surrounding prostate cancer. The purpose of the hearing is to understand current views on prostate cancer screening and research, and to understand if necessary action is being taken to find a cure for prostate cancer. The hearing will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in room 2154 Rayburn House Office Building. Witnesses invited to testify include: William L. Dahut, M.D. Carolyn J.M.
