Oversight Daily - Consumers Union Applauded the Committee Investigation of the J&J Recall |
In a letter to Chairman Edolphus Towns, the Health Policy Analyst at Consumer Reports,William Vaughan, congratulated the Oversight Committee for "an excellent hearing on the 'Johnson & Johnson Recall of Children's Tylenol and Other Children's Medicines.'" Chairman Towns expanded the Committee's investigation after the committee learned of a phantom recall of a certain type of Motrin while preparing for a hearing to examine Johnson & Johnson's recall. Chairman Towns has also questioned the circumstances surrounding the recall of Pediacare manufactured at the same McNeil pharmaceutical plant at the center of the larger recall. |
