Oversight Committee to Hold Business Meeting

Washington – The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform will hold a brief business meeting tomorrow, July 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.  The committee will mark up the following commemorative resolutions and postal naming bills:

• H. Con. Res. 226, introduced by Rep. Bob Filner (D-CA). This measure supports the observance of "Spirit of '45 Day."
• H. J. Res. 90, introduced by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX). This measure expresses support for designation of September 2010 as "Gospel Music Heritage Month" and honoring gospel music for its valuable and longstanding contributions to the culture of the United States.
• H. Res. 771, introduced by Rep. Betty McCollum (D-MN). This measure supports the goals and ideals of a National Mesothelioma Awareness Day.
• H. Res. 1475, introduced by Rep. G. K. Butterfield (D-NC). This measure congratulates the town of Tarboro, North Carolina, on the occasion of its 250th anniversary.
