UNIVERSITY MUSEUM EXHIBIT RECEIVES GRANT
Washington -- U.S. Rep. Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Digging into the Past, an exhibit sponsored by University Museum in Carbondale, has received an $8,089 grant from the Illinois Humanities Council. The exhibit will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Center for Archaeological Investigations and will open in April of 2003. The Council coordinates federal, state and private funds for cultural and social programs.
"This type of project adds a great deal to the learning environment of the community," said Costello. "I will continue to support these efforts."
