U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords today will help Southern Arizona taxpayers learn how to pursue their unclaimed Internal Revenue Service refunds.
Statewide, 3,656 Arizonan taxpayers are due a total of $3.73 million. That’s an average of $1,019.19 per person. Locally, over 450 taxpayers are due a total of $385,047. A refund check is normally returned as undeliverable as the result of an erroneous or out of date address.
This afternoon, Giffords will release the list of Southern Arizona taxpayers owed the funds and explain how they can claim their money.
