Busy Saturday for Tucson lawmaker also includes speech to Girl Scouts, Academy Day and an "e-cycling" event
U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will host her third "Congress on Your Corner" this Saturday morning at an eastside Safeway.
The Tucson lawmaker will be at the supermarket for two hours to meet with constituents wishing to discuss any issue concerning the federal government. The public is invited to attend. No appointment is necessary.
Prior to "Congress on Your Corner" Giffords will mark Earth Day by encouraging the "e-cycling" of old computers, printers and other electronic office equipment. Pima Computer Recycling, a non-profit organization that aids needy families, will be collecting the equipment in the parking lot of the same Safeway.
