The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform held a business meeting Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in room 2154 Rayburn House Office Building.

The committee considered the following bills:

  • H.R. 5815, the "Inspector General Authority Improvement Act of 2010";
  • H.R. 2853, the "All-American Flag Act";
  • H.R. 5637, the "American Jobs Matter Act of 2010";
  • S. 2868, the "Federal Supply Schedules Usage Act of 2009";
  • H.R. 5366, the "Overseas Contractor Reform Act"; and
  • H.R. 5616, the "National Historical Publications and Records Commission Act of 2010"
  • The committee will also mark up the following commemorative resolutions and postal naming bills:

  • H. Res. 1428, introduced by Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY). This measure recognizes Brooklyn Botanic Garden on its 100th anniversary as the preeminent horticultural attraction in the borough of Brooklyn and its longstanding commitment to environmental stewardship and education for the City of New York;
  • H. Res. 1546, introduced by Rep. Jay Inslee (D-WA). This measure congratulates the Washington Stealth for winning the National Lacrosse League Championship;
  • H.R. 3456, introduced by Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX). This measure designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 1900 West Gray Street in Houston, Texas, as the "Hazel Hainsworth Young Post Office Building";
  • H.R. 4266, introduced by Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX). This measure designates he facility of the United States Postal Service located at 4110 Almeda Road in Houston, Texas, as the "George Thomas 'Mickey' Leland Post Office Building";
  • H.R. 5565, introduced by Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX). This measure designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 5014 Gary Avenue in Lubbock, Texas, as the "Sergeant Chris Davis Post Office";
  • H.R. 5584, introduced by Rep. John Carter (R-TX). This measure designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 500 East Whitestone Boulevard in Cedar Park, Texas, as the "Army Specialist Matthew Troy Morris Post Office Building";
  • H.R. 5605, introduced by Rep. Mark Critz (D-PA). This measure designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 47 East Fayette Street in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, as the "George C. Marshall Post Office";
  • H.R. 5606, introduced by Rep. Mark Critz (D-PA). This measure designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 47 South 7th Street in Indiana, Pennsylvania, as the "James M. 'Jimmy' Stewart Post Office Building";
  • H.R. 5655, introduced by Rep. Kendrick Meek (D-FL). This measure designates the Little River Branch facility of the United States Postal Service located at 140 NE 84th Street in Miami, Florida, as the "Jesse J. McCrary, Jr. Post Office";
  • H.R. 5758, introduced by Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA). This measure designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 2 Government Center in Fall River, Massachusetts, as the "Sergeant Robert Barrett Post Office Building"; and
  • H.R. 5831, introduced by Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX). This measure designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 1081 Elbel Road in Schertz, Texas, as the "Schertz Veterans Post Office."
