The House Natural Resources Committee, Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests and Public Lands, led by Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), will hold a legislative hearing on the following bills:
H.R. 2788 (Calvert): To designate a Distinguished Flying Cross National Memorial at the March Field Air Museum in Riverside, California. "Distinguished Flying Cross National Memorial Act"
H.R. 2944 (Grijalva): To withdraw certain Federal lands and interests located in Pima and Santa Cruz counties, Arizona, from the mining and mineral leasing laws of the United States, and for other purposes. "Southern Arizona Public Lands Protection Act of 2009"
H.R. 3914 (Salazar): To designate certain lands in San Miguel, Ouray, and San Juan Counties, Colorado, as wilderness, and for other purposes. "San Juan Mountains Wilderness Act of 2009"
H.R. 4003 (Hinchey): To direct the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a special resource study to evaluate resources in the Hudson River Valley in the State of New York to determine the suitability and feasibility of establishing the site as a unit of the National Park System, and for other purposes. "Hudson River Valley Special Resource Study Act"
H.R. 4192 (Mike Thompson): To designate the Stornetta Public Lands as an Outstanding Natural Area to be administered as a part of the National Landscape Conservation System, and for other purposes. "Stornetta Public Lands Outstanding Natural Area Act of 2009"
H.R. 4395 (Platts): To revise the boundaries of the Gettysburg National Military Park to include the Gettysburg Train Station, and for other purposes.
