The House Subcommittee on Insular Affairs, Oceans and Wildlife, led by Del. Madeleine Z. Bordallo (D-GU), will hold a legislative hearing on the following bill:


  • H.R. 3850 (Kratovil): To provide for the eradication and control of nutria in Maryland, Louisiana, and other coastal States. "Nutria Eradication and Control Act of 2009"

  • H.R. 3910 (Larsen): To authorize a single fisheries cooperative for the Bering Sea Aleutian Islands longline catcher processor subsector, and for other purposes. “Longline Catcher Processor Subsector Single Fishery Cooperative Act”

  • H.R. 4914 (Pallone): To promote coastal jobs creation, promote sustainable fisheries and fishing communities, revitalize waterfronts, and for other purposes. "Coastal Jobs Creation Act of 2010"

  • H.R. 5180 (Shea-Porter): To establish an Ombudsman Office within the National Marine Fisheries Service, and for other purposes. "National Marine Fisheries Service Ombudsman Act of 2010"

  • H.R. 5331 (Kennedy): To revise the boundaries of John H. Chaffee Coastal Barrier Resources System Sachuest Point Unit RI-04P, Easton Beach Unit RI-05P, Almy Pond Unit RI-06, and Hazards Beach Unit RI-07 in Rhode Island.

  • H.R. 5380 (Hirono): To provide for the expansion of Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge, Hawaii County, Hawaii. "Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge Expansion Act of 2010"

  • H.R. 5482 (Jones): To direct the Secretary of the Interior to enter into an agreement to provide for management of the free-roaming wild horses in and around the Currituck National Wildlife Refuge. "Corolla Wild Horses Protection Act"
