The House Natural Resources Committee, led by Chairman Nick J. Rahall (D-WV), will hold a legislative hearing on the following bills:
H.R. 5023 (Grijalva): To prescribe procedures for effective consultation and coordination by Federal agencies with federally recognized Indian tribes regarding Federal Government activities that impact tribal lands and interests to ensure that meaningful tribal input is an integral part of the Federal decision-making process. “Requirements, Expectations, and Standard Procedures for Executive Consultation with Tribes Act, RESPECT Act”
H.R. 4384 (Matheson): To establish the Utah Navajo Trust Fund Commission, and for other purposes.
H.R. 5468 (McKeon): To take certain Federal lands in Mono County, California, into trust for the benefit of the Bridgeport Indian Colony. “Bridgeport Indian Colony Land Trust, Health, and Economic Development Act of 2010”
