GREGG HONORED BY NEW HAMPSHIRE BIOMEDICAL INDUSTRY

October 14, 2010

NEW HAMPSHIRE – U.S. Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) was honored this evening by the New Hampshire Bio/Medical Council for his longstanding support of the life sciences industry with the establishment of the Judd Gregg New Hampshire Bio/Medical Internship Program.  The program will provide summer internships to students or recent graduates considering careers in the life sciences while also helping to pair small businesses in the field with interns.

Senator Gregg stated, “I would like to thank the New Hampshire Bio/Medical Council for making New Hampshire a center for biomedical research and economic growth in this cutting-edge industry.  Kathy and I have always been committed to young people and giving them a better shot at being successful through education. This internship will provide wonderful opportunities for students to interface with professionals in the biomedical industry and give them the skills to become our next generation of inventors and job creators in New Hampshire.”

Since its establishment in 1999, the Council has established a strong identity for the biomedical industry in New Hampshire, promoting economic development and job creation, as well as facilitating the networking of academic, industry and government stakeholders.
