Washington, Mar 15 - The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce presented Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA) and Congressman David Dreier (R-CA) with sidewalk “stars” in honor of their advocacy in Congress on behalf of Los Angeles businesses.  The presentation took place at a reception in our nation’s capital to kick-off “Southern California on the Hill: ACCESS Washington DC” trip.  The delegation included 220 business and civic leaders from across Southern California who joined together to advocate for federal investments that create jobs and stimulate the economy.  The delegation called on federal legislators to rev “America’s Recovery Engine” through strategic investments in the region’s infrastructure, workforce, natural resources and more.  Representing nearly six percent of U.S. Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the Southern California region is poised to create and preserve over a million jobs and grow the economy through investments in its ports, airports and other economic assets vital to the rest of the nation.  Later in the week, the congresswoman also met with ACCESS DC delegations made up of community and business leaders from throughout Los Angeles County to discuss solutions to ending homelessness and addressing the region’s transportation needs.  Pictured in the photo from left to right: Gary Toebben, President of the LA Area Chamber of Commerce; Congressman David Dreier (CA-26); Bill Farrar, Chairman of the Hollywood Chamber Board of Directors; Congressman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34); Los Angeles City Councilman Eric Garcetti (District 13); and Hollywood Chamber President Leron Gubler.
