Congressman Tierney Marks September 11^th Anniversary

Salem, MA- Congressman John F. Tierney, Chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs, made the following statement on the ninth anniversary of the September 11^th attacks:

“Nine years after the September 11^th attacks, the tragic events of that day remain etched into our collective memories. Today, I join Americans across our country in honoring the memories of those innocent men and women and brave first responders who died on that day,” said Congressman John F. Tierney (MA-06) “In my capacity as Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs, I have worked to incorporate the recommendations laid before us by the 9/11 Commission and to support policies which allow our first responders to remain vigilant in improving our national security, protecting our families and communities, and supporting our troops at home and overseas.”
