Truth #7: Yet Another Taxpayer-Funded Giveaway to ACORN
What the bill does: The bill allocates taxpayer funds to groups like ACORN, to advise and train eligible “community development organizations” how to reduce the carbon footprint of residents in “affordable housing.” (H.R. 2454, American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, Sec. 298, p. 638.)
What this means for Americans: The American people will see their tax dollars go to so-called community activist organizations like ACORN, to teach low-income residents how to live in accord with the worldview of the Environmental Left.
