WASHINGTON, DC (December 3, 2010) – Less than 24 hours after Democrats passed a job-killing tax hike, news that the nation’s unemployment rate jumped to 9.8 percent should serve as a resounding alarm that these current tax and spend policies are not working to restore America’s economy.
“Simply talking about the need to create jobs won’t help as long as Democrats pursue these fiscal attacks on our families and businesses,” says Gus.
For nearly two years, the unemployment rate has hovered at 10 percent. Many areas in Florida have long suffered double-digit unemployment. Clearly, that should be a sign that different measures should be taken.
Gus continues to stand up for the American people and demand less spending, smarter budgeting, and a stop to all tax hikes. If House Democrats don’t take these actions during the Lame Duck session, Gus will make sure to do so come January.
