The House Natural Resources Committee, led by Chairman Nick J. Rahall (D-WV), will meet in open markup session to mark up the following bills:
  • H.R. 685 (Clay): To require a study of the feasibility of establishing the United States Civil Rights Trail System, and for other purposes. "United States Civil Rights Trail System Act of 2009"

  • H.R. 1593 (Rick Larsen): To amend the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to designate a segment of Illabot Creek in Skagit County, Washington, as a component of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System.

  • H.R. 2802 (Delahunt): To provide for an extension of the legislative authority of the Adams Memorial Foundation to establish a commemorative work in honor of former President John Adams and his legacy, and for other purposes.

  • H.R. 2806 (Doc Hastings): To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to adjust the boundary of the Stephen Mather Wilderness and the North Cascades National Park in order to allow the rebuilding of a road outside of the floodplain while ensuring that there is no net loss of acreage to the Park or the Wilderness, and for other purposes.

  • H.R. 3113 (Rahall): To amend the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to designate a segment of the Elk River in the State of West Virginia for study for potential addition to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, and for other purposes. "Upper Elk River Wild and Scenic Study Act"

  • H.R. 2008 (Matheson): To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to facilitate the development of hydroelectric power on the Diamond Fork System of the Central Utah Project. "Bonneville Unit Clean Hydropower Facilitation Act"

  • H.R. 2265 (Chaffetz): To amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to participate in the Magna Water District water reuse and groundwater recharge project, and for other purposes. "Magna Water District Water Reuse and Groundwater Recharge Act of 2009"

  • H.R. 2442 (George Miller): To amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to expand the Bay Area Regional Water Recycling Program, and for other purposes. "Bay Area Regional Water Recycling Program Expansion Act of 2009"

  • H.R. 2522 (Gallegly): To raise the ceiling on the Federal share of the cost of the Calleguas Municipal Water District Recycling Project, and for other purposes.

  • H.R.2741 (Walden): To amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to participate in the City of Hermiston, Oregon, water recycling and reuse project, and for other purposes.

  • H.R.2950 (Matheson): To direct the Secretary of the Interior to allow for prepayment of repayment contracts between the United States and the Uintah Water Conservancy District.
