"Pakistani Elections: Will They Be Free and Fair or Fundamentally Flawed? (Part II)" On January 29, 2008, the Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs conducted an oversight hearing into U.S. policy with regard to the critical February 18 elections in Pakistan. The hearing featured Richard A. Boucher, the Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs and the Administration’s point person on U.S. policy toward Pakistan. This hearing served as a follow-up to the Subcommittee's December 2007 hearing on the Pakistani elections that featured, among others, former Senate Majority Leader Thomas A. Daschle. WITNESS LIST:
