Oversight Committee to Examine Implementation of Recovery Act
Washington, DC – House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Edolphus “Ed” Towns (D-NY) will hold a hearing on Thursday, November 19, 2009, titled: “Tracking the Money: How Recovery Act Recipients Account for their Use of Stimulus Dollars”. This is the fourth in a series of hearings examining implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act). At the hearing, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) will release its first statutorily required report on Recovery Act recipient reporting.
Earlier this year, Chairman Towns announced that the Committee would hold a series of stimulus oversight hearings to directly examine the implementation and impact of the Recovery Act.
The hearing will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2009 in room 2154 Rayburn House Office Building. A webcast of the hearing will be available on the Committee Website: http://oversight.house.gov/.
