Oversight Committee to Resume Hearing on the Future of the V-22 Osprey

Washington, DC – The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will reconvene the hearing titled, “The Future of the V-22 Osprey: Costs, Capabilities, and Challenges” on Tuesday June 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in room 2154 Rayburn House Office Building.

The hearing will examine the operational effectiveness, suitability, and cost of the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft. Witnesses, who were originally called to testify during last month’s postponed hearing, include the Government Accountability Office which recently completed a report regarding the V-22 Osprey and a representative from the Marine Corps who will discuss the performance and future plans of the V-22 Osprey.
