Republicans Can Now Move On to Cutting Larger Spending Programs
Mesa, Arizona, Nov 5 - Republican Congressman Jeff Flake, who represents Arizona’s Sixth District, today commended Republican Leader John Boehner for his decision to continue the moratorium on earmarks in the House of Representatives next year.
In a Thursday interview on Fox News, Boehner made a firm promise to continue the ban once Republicans reclaim the majority in the House next year.
“John Boehner’s promise to continue the earmark ban is a win for taxpayers,” said Flake. “Now that we've agreed to cut small spending items, we can begin to address the larger spending programs.”
