The 3rd Congressional District includes northern Sacramento County, and portions of Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, and Solano Counties.

(Washington, DC)– Congressman Dan Lungren (R-Gold River) today announced that the Folsom Dam has secured an additional $7 million in the President's Fiscal Year 2006 budget to start construction of a permanent bridge downstream of the Dam. A permanent bridge would help alleviate the traffic delays caused after the closure of the Folsom Dam for security reasons. The Dam road was closed in 2003 due to security concerns.
