Since 1999, the NC Disaster Relief Fund has supported survivors of disasters that occur in our state. The fund is now accepting donations to help our neighboring states in the northeast that have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. The new fund, NC Helping Neighbors Fund, will help address the recovery needs of individuals, families and communities that have been impacted by the storm.

The NC Helping Neighbors Fund is managed by the Governor's Office, in partnership with United Way of North Carolina. Donations are tax deductible; 100% of donated funds will go to the states impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
