Our district is rich with history, full of well-known landmarks, and offers a wide range of activities for all ages. The 25th district's eastern border is lined by Nevada and Interstate 15 lines the southern border. As you travel towards the south east part of the district you will come upon the cities of Palmdale, Santa Clarita, and Lancaster, all in the top 100 fastest growing cities of the US. The district includes the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys, portions of San Bernardino County and encompasses all of the Inyo and Mono Counties to the north. California's 25th district has the 3rd largest population in the state, almost 845,000 constituents, according to the 2010 US Census. California's 25th district is the second largest district by land area in the state.

The 25th boasts the beautiful Inyo National Forest, Death Valley National Park, and parts of Yosemite National Park, King Canyon National Park, Los Padres National Forest, and Angeles National Forest. These parks provide a great escape from the city, a chance to go camping, hiking, and fishing, all along a backdrop of picturesque views of unbelievable landscape. Our district is home to both the highest and the lowest geographic points in the United States: Mount Whitney and Death Valley.

The 25th is also home to a variety of military bases. You'll find the Army National Training Center at Fort Irwin, China Lake Naval Base, and the Marine Corps Logistics Base located in San Bernardino County. Fort Irwin is the location of the Army's premier training center, where extensive training is conducted for troops going into Iraq and Afghanistan. China Lake is the Navy's largest land base in the world, made up of 1.1 million acres. Its primary mission is to supply cutting edge weapons technology to naval warfighters. Edwards Air Force Base, located just outside of Palmdale, is home to such programs as NASA's Space Shuttle. The 25th District is unique because of the great diversity of its constituents, the close communities that exist and its proximity to some of the best, beaches, parks, mountains, villages and attractions that California has to offer.
