White House & Capitol Tour Request Form

Welcome to Washington, D.C.! My office can help submit tour requests for visiting both the U.S. Capitol and The White House.

Generally White House tour requests must be submitted a minimum of 3 to 6 months in advance. Requests for Capitol tours must be made 4 to 6 weeks in advance.  Because of the immense demand and the very limited number of tour spots, the likelihood of any tour request, even if submitted early, receiving approval by the White House, is small. Also, I do not hear back from the White House about your tour requests until approximately two to three weeks prior to the dates requested, so I will not be able to contact you to let you know if your tour request has been approved or denied until that time.

Please submit the following information to request a tour. However, submitting this information does not guarantee your reservation for your tour request.

All requests submitted less than 30 days prior to desired tour date will not be accepted due to White House policy.

  • For schools or group tours, please contact my DC office at 202-225-1956.
  • Expect to hear from our office approximately two weeks prior to your tour date.
  • Please be advised that tours may be cancelled due to weather or national security issues.

* Due to changes implemented by the White House Visitors Office, the Secret Service is now requesting that security information for each potential visitor be submitted with their tour request. Therefore, in order for your request to be processed and submitted to the White House, security information MUST be filled out for each person. On Sept. 4, 2009, President Obama announced that visitor access records to the White House will be released to the public 90-120 days after a visit. Your full name and the date of your tour will be part of the public record that is released. Your date of birth, Social Security number and all other private information will not be released.
