Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the House of Representatives has approved funding for projects in the 12th Congressional District as part of the final Fiscal Year 2010 Energy and Water Development Appropriations bill. The legislation will next be considered by the Senate before being sent to the President for signature.
“It is significant that this is among the first appropriations bills to be passed by Congress,” said Costello. “We are dealing with serious water infrastructure needs in our region and around the country and it is important to put these resources to work on these projects.”
