TILDEN FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT RECEIVES FIREFIGHTERS GRANT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Tilden Fire Protection District has received an $84,883 Assistance to Firefighters grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.   The award will be used for operations and safety.  Costello cosponsored the legislation that created the Assistance to Firefighters program. 

"Properly equipping our first responders is one of our most important national priorities," said Costello.  "Our firefighters risk their lives protecting our communities and we owe them our full support."
