U.S. CONGRESSMAN JERRY COSTELLO PRESENTS AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM GRANT CHECK TO WILLIAMSON COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT

Marion, IL - On Thursday, August 10, 2006 U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) presented a check representing funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation to Airport Manager Doug Kimmel at the Williamson County Regional Airport in Marion, Illinois.

Costello presented a mock check in the amount of $869,390.00 which represents Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant funds.  The Williamson County Regional Airport will use these funds to acquire land for approaches and remove obstructions.
