SIUC RECEIVES HUMANITIES GRANT
Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University Carbondale has received a grant from the National Endowment of the Humanities:
- $118,892 for a six-week seminar for 15 college and university faculty on James Joyce's Ulysses and its multiple contexts, to be held in Dublin, Ireland.
"Projects such as this one enhance the academic reputation of the university, promote faculty development and ultimately provide students a richer academic experience," said Costello.
