SHAWNEE HEALTH SERVICE RECEIVES HHS GRANT
Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Shawnee Health Service, located in Carterville, has been awarded a $300,000 grant from the Office of Community Services of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds will be used for the Communities Empowerment Youth Program.
"Shawnee Health Service is an important part of our regional health care network," said Costello. "I will continue to work to ensure that these resources remain available to rural areas."
