Sanders' Education Town Meeting

May 10, 2010

Sen. Sanders held a town meeting with students, teachers, and Vermont education leaders to discuss the future of the No Child Left Behind act which Congress is expected to re-consider this year.  Sanders is a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee which will be responsible for the reauthorization process of the current federal education law governing elementary and secondary education.  Due to Senate business, the senator had to attend the Vermont meeting via video conferencing from Washington, D.C.
