Washington, DC—Today, Congressman Jim Renacci (OH-16) released the following statement in response to Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks to a joint session of Congress, outlining his plan for peace in the Middle East:

“In his address today before Congress, Prime Minister Netanyahu reminded all Americans that through times of peace and times of conflict, through times of tranquility and times of instability, Israel has been and will remain America’s greatest friend and strongest ally in the Middle East.  Bound by a common commitment to the pursuit of peace and an unyielding devotion to the cause of freedom, Israelis and Americans are united in a critically important partnership that I fully and wholeheartedly support.  I, like many of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, proudly stand with Mr. Netanyahu in opposing the indefensible suggestion that Israel’s borders be reduced to the pre-1967 lines as well as in strong support of Israel’s fundamental right to defend herself from those who seek the destruction of the Jewish state.”
